We have released a new revision of software with several improvements:
All snipes with 10-or-more-second lead times are free. This feature was created for pay-per-use customers. Now, pay-per-use customers do not have to burn a premium snipe for items of less importance. You can specify a lead time of 10 or more seconds, and the snipe will be treated as free. This will also allow your premium snipes last longer.
The "Add a Snipe" box now has auto-complete. This is the box at the top of your snipe home page. When you put an eBay item number into the box and exit the box, helpful information about the item will be displayed. The intention is to bring your attention to any problems with the auction, such as a seller with zero (0) feedback. Right now it shows cost, bids, reserve price (if any), seller name and feedback rating, and shipping cost. We plan to add other important fields on request; just ask. The “Max Bid" box will also auto-fill with the current price plus the Minimum Bid Increment. See the bottom of this post for a snapshot.
The "Add a Snipe" box has and for updating bid values. We like this feature because it encourages you to factor the minimum bid increment into your bid. The increment chosen is based on the current price, that is, eBay's Minimum Bid Increment tables.
Shipping calculations are now automated. The cost of shipping and estimated transit time is calculated and displayed for you. For this to work properly, you must have your postal code saved in BidSlammer Preferences. We stored your postal code (but not your address) when you signed up, so you only need to change it if it's different than what you have in your eBay profile. Please also note that the system updates shipping costs in the background; they do not appear right away.
The help pages have been reformatted. They are easier to navigate now.
Bid and cost information on your main snipe page will now continue to refresh in the background while you are away from your computer or tabbed-out in another browser tab.
eBay UserID changes are now supported. If you change your eBay user ID at the eBay.com website, and sign up for the service again, we will detect the change. This will allow you to continue using the same account. We can also merge accounts together if you open a support ticket.
