CONTINUED BIDSLAMMER PROBLEMS

Mike,

I looked in our log and we definitely placed this bid. The first thing we look for is minimum bid increment being met and your password on eBay did not change.

It seems there was a lag with the bid at eBay for over 10 seconds. We placed the bid 6 seconds prior to ending, and we received the confirmation page from eBay right at ending time. The page said that the auction ended.

This is just like when you try to bid manually and it hangs for a second. This is on the eBay end and it can't be helped. I would not concern yourself for the long term as this is an extremely rare event.

I see you have used us for years and I hope you understand this risk of sniping. There is no way around it; you can peruse other snipe boards to see this happens with them far more often with us.

Thanks for taking the time to write, if you have further questions please feel free to ask me.

Kind regards,

IS YOUR SYSTEM SCREWED UP OR WHAT!!! I received the following message tonight and when I try to respond, your site states the ACCESS KEY is not valid. IT IS THE KEY IN THE MESSAGE!!! NO WONDER YOU CAN'T GET A SNIPE RIGHT!!!

Here is the message I tried to add to Ticket #3964 but couldn't. I WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS!!!!

"No, my eBay password has not been changed. I do not see "the error message from the result page and display it below the title" so there must not have been an eBay error message.

I can never use your service again. I want a FULL refund of the monies I have deposited with your company. Why would I pay money to you for you to miss snipes? I have a better chance placing bids myself well before the final minute. AT LEAST A BID IS MADE ON MY BEHALF!!

Sincerely,

Mike Dudeck"

Re: Ticket 3964, Solved

Dear Mike Dudeck

A new message has been added to the service request #3964.

Hello,

Ok first please understand that our job is to snipe, but we also try to determine the exact reason for a miss and there are presently 15 reasons with more being invented all the time.

I looked in our log and we definitely placed this bid. Have you changed your eBay password recently? If so you can update it using the "Preferences" link. If that isn't it, then be advised that eBay recently introduced a "link" feature for your eBay account to link to your PayPal account, could this be the issue?

Our best links on this subject are here:

Setting up for successful sniping

Why did I lose?.

If the snipe resulted in an eBay error page, we try to "parse" (read) the error message from the result page and display it below the title. If you feel very strongly that something is amiss, we definitely want to know. But snipes miss, a few times per day, for reasons that snipe services cannot fully explain other than all the reasons we noted.

Thanks for taking the time to write, if you have further questions please feel free to ask me.

Kind regards,
