RE: Missed snipes

Hello,

I am concerned because the majority of my latest snipes have not been placed by Bidslammer. I look on the bid history of the item and I can see that the snipe was never made. On a couple of occasions, I apparently would have won the item and this is doubly frustrating. I no longer trust the snipes to be made by Bidslammer and sit by those auctions that I really want to win.

Do you have any explanation for this? Any help you can provide is much appreciated as I have long enjoyed your service prior to this problem.

Best regards,

Cheryl

Cheryl,

Thanks; you are obviously concerned and I'm sorry you had to take time to write, but I checked your history. All situations I saw you bid too low or did not meet the increment, or were blocked from the transaction by the seller generically.

Ok first please understand that our job is to snipe, but we also try to determine the exact reason for a miss and there are presently 15 reasons with more being invented all the time. 99% of any customer concerns are put to rest when they understand all the criteria you have to set up to snipe correctly.

eBay recently introduced a "link" feature for your eBay account to link to your PayPal account, could this be the issue? You can also be blocked for item strikes, policy violations, feedback negatives.

Our best links on this subject are here:

If the snipe resulted in an eBay error page, we try to "parse" (read) the error message from the result page and display it below the title. If you feel very strongly that something is amiss, we definitely want to know. We just need the item number. We keep logs back 14 days, so we can give an exact reason (if our interface doesn't explain).

Thanks for taking the time to write, if you have further questions please feel free to ask me.

Kind regards,
