Hi,
I have just tested two snipes before using it on an item I reeeally want tomorrow. I noticed that the bids were submitted 10 secs and 11 secs (respectively) before the end, as opposed to the desired 5 seconds. Is there any way I can snipe with only 5 seconds to go please? Thanks.

Sorry - I should have reiterated... I am in Australia so there seems to be a delay affecting my snipes? Cheers. Posted Jun 10 2010 07:22 pm

Hello,
Good question! :-)
If we see heavy activity on eBay we will sometimes "pad" the snipes a bit, by the average delay time, in order to account for it. As an example, if bids take 5 seconds to place, we will bid an extra 5 seconds early (plus our usual 5 seconds). As of this moment, it is back down to zero.
Would you please let me know if this continues and/or is not resolved to your satisfaction?
