Hello Wayne,

Your eBay credentials are not correct, please update them in our Preferences and the site will operate properly for you.

Every time I put in my email address in the address box, it changes back to my Ebay user name.

Hello Wayne,

Is it accepting your eBay password? It won't accept the information unless the information is correct.

Are you using a q.com mail address? If so, you can use mail.q.com instead.

Hello Wayne,

When you submit, are you getting a red error dialog or a green success box? (The status of your eBay credentials is stated).

I am getting a red box around the area that my email address goes into. Also, I noticed that it won't
let me correct my Ebay password. When I punch in my Ebay Password, it reverts back to my
old Password. At the top of the page it says that it was a SUCCESS and was CONFIRMED AND UPDATED

Hello Wayne,

Hmm... that shouldn't happen. We will investigate and try to get back to you by start of business.

Hello Bidslammer,

I haven't heard back from you yet. Did you investigate?

Hello Wayne,

Yes, the problem is that eBay isn't accepting your password when it is used from a different computer. We wrote an article recently to explain - it is item number 3 on this list:

Let us know if we can help further.

My password uses a large cap letter and includes a number. I'm not convinced that your explanation in
paragraph #3 is the problem
Guest
Hello Wayne,

I am certain that is the issue because, although I can't see your eBay password, it's encryption code is the same as your BidSlammer password --- which itself is not a very good password. It does not fit the description you offered.

You didn't read the previous emails. The problem is with your system. I can't change my Ebay password
on your site
Guest
Hello Wayne,

That is because of reason 3. Remember eBay is more stringent with bids placed from computers that are not yours. The solution is to change your eBay password at the eBay site to be slightly more stringent, and then update it at our site. This happens for about 1% of users; this suggestion always solves the problem.

Snipe services are not allowed to use the eBay API otherwise this would be bulletproof, but we all experience this.

I guess I am not getting it. My ebay password is different than the ebay password that you have, because I changed the ebay password already. Your system won't let me enter the new ebay password on your site. I don't see how changing the password again will help, if I can't put it into your system.

Hello Wayne,

Sorry my mistake, as I was looking at the older hashcode. In any case I think you are going to have to use a password that has a special character like the @ sign. If you wouldn't mind doing that, I'm quite certain that will remedy the issue.

One other issue: Make sure to log into eBay and ensure you don't have any warnings, such as credit card expired.

Also you could try to place a bid on a test item on the actual eBay site. You can google "eBay test auctions" for relevant auctions.

I just went to ebay and placed a direct bid on an item. Ebay took the bid with no problem. I am not having a problem with ebay, the problem is entering my new ebay password on Bidslammer. If I get a new ebay password, I will still have the same problem trying to enter the new password on your site. When I enter the new
password on your site, it reverts back to my old password. I need a supervisor to look at this

That is because (as I explained above) eBay is more stringent on bids which do not originate from your computer.

eBay scores passwords. eBay is more lenient on the password security if you bid from your own computer. If you are bidding through an outside computer, like one of ours, it can result in a random security step or “Captcha” box on login through which snipes cannot penetrate.

All snipe services have this same information posted everywhere on their websites and forums.
