Got a message that Bidslammer had placed a bid but couldn't tell if I won because no response was obtained from Ebay. Note that I had a different password for Bidslammer than for Ebay. Was this the problem? I have now changed my Bidslammer PW to be the same as that for Ebay. Should that take care of the problem (PS - losing this item was probably a sign from God! I shouldn't have spent the money on it anyway LOL)

This is unusual as the errors returned are for the old version of our sniper. Let's do this -- just click Signup on the home page, and run through the authorization process again. This will not create a new account, it will use the one you have now. It will guarantee we have a valid authorization for you.
Please let us know when you have done this and we can monitor your future snipes. Thanks and let us know.

I have done this. Is there any way to verify that it is now working without actually trying to buy something?

Yes, you can verify it is working without placing snipes. Just go to Preferences (at the upper right navigation bar) and choose the "Import Watch List" option. It should import any eBay Watch List items that you have.
Of course, you will need to visit eBay and make sure to add a few items to that list, by clicking the "Add to Watch List" on the item page.
This will _not_ purchase the items. The bid amount will default to 0.00. You may also delete the items after the import.
