unable to update bids from homepage (but using slamit tool to update works)

whatever was causing the issue seems to have been corrected, 3 bids over the last 6 hours were back to normal and I am now able to update without a problem.

www.bidslammer.com address no longer gets me to the login page or homepage, Now I get a message "The bidslammer.com page isn’t working -
bidslammer.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500"

I think we found the issue. There are so many snipes (hidden) loading in your main snipe page, that the page is timing out. That's the only thing we can think of.

So.... we threw on some coffee around 2am and hacked out a nice fix for this, rewrote the interface to make it super fast for power users. We're testing it now.

I will write again once we released it later today.

An update from my end.

I continued to be unable to open the home page (bidslammer.com) which was redirected to bidslammer/user, and had the chrome message that the page isn't working as before.
I tried to log in from a second computer and had exactly the same problem and message. I also tried explorer rather than chrome and still not able to get to the home or login pages. I could use google or saved links to get to the bidslammer/support page.

I tried deleting cookies on the second computer and after doing that I was able to go to the homepage.

I went back to my first computer and without changing cookies or anything else on that machine, I was now able to open the home page again both from a shortcut and using Slam It. All very wierd!

I am now able to add new snipes with slam it, and can update snipes in the same way, but i continue to be unable to update snipes from the home page, I can edit the field but when i click the update button nothing seems to happen. Bids do seem to be placed correctly now so it doesnt seem to be án ebay password or blocking dialogue issue.

Yeah, that confirms it, really. The first time you visit, it's loading all your images for Completed and Archive listings from Amazon. Odds are you can see the URL at the bottom left, loading from Amazon. The second and subsequent visits, the images were cached and so the page loads.

Yep, got some sleep and now testing all the new stuffs.

At bottom left the message I see now is waiting for cache, it flashes 3 times before the front page opens.

Might it be an idea to just load the images for the Current page on opening, and only load the completed and archived if required when the tab is selected?

Yep that is what the new release does, it only loads the visible ones. If needed we will add pagination also.

Ok, we released a hotfix patch that only shows the last 10 days' of Completed, and skips the Archive altogether. It should be a lot faster now. In the next day or so we'll release the Speedy Gonzales version. Thanks for your help and patience.
