Question

77960 4 5

Hi. I just signed up for BidSlammer and purchased a 5 pack. However, when I entered a Snipe the minimum allowable lead time is 10 seconds. Why can't I use 3 seconds?

Thanks. I just refreshed my BidSlammer webpage and the item's current price wasn't correct. It was only corrected when I manually refreshed the listing. I assume I won't have to manually do that when the sniping is supposed to happen, correct?
Also, my BidSlammer snipe was scheduled to go at 10 seconds. Would you recommend I leave it like that or change it to 3 seconds.
If I do change it to 3 seconds, how do I do that?
And if I change it to 3 seconds, is there a chance it will arrive too late? I have a super fast internet connection.

Hello,
You are correct - after you add the snipe into our system, we do all of the rest.
The manual refresh is a feature we added because in our contract with eBay, we agreed that we would not poll their systems too often. We refresh four times a day. And, as a result of your inquiry, we double-checked and found it had been turned off! So thanks for that. :-)
You can change the lead time by re-entering the snipe again.
Three seconds is safe. For the lead time, no one has reported any 3-second misses since we introduced that feature. We were the first service to offer that, and then everyone else copied it. Fairly soon, we're going to announce 2 seconds and watch everyone else copy it again.
Here's some more information to help you choose your lead time:

TL;DR: For expensive items, use 7 seconds instead of 3.
Let us know if we can help further, and good luck sniping!
