I have lost a bid because when you raise your maximum bid and hit update "SEVERAL" times it did not update your maximum bid. very disappointed.

It appears that at the time you tried to increase the bid, the value of the auction had already gone up higher. Therefore we did not accept the bid and you should have seen an error message indicating to bid higher. (It will not update your bid if it is too low to win the bid.)
